2/7 General Guide
Zeny Farming: Zeny is critical for your character
strengthening and in game progression. From equipment enhancing, upgrading,
refining and to enchanting, all these process required zeny. Not to mention
base equipment for your characters. Some of the equipment can cost up to
millions of zeny. But fred not, i will share with you proven methods to earn
zeny $.$
Tip 1 The basic method is by grinding on
monsters to earn zeny. Wizards and Hunters have a huge advantage due to their
attack range, damage and AoE skills. Merchants also have advantage due to
a skill that increases their Zeny gained by 20%. The key determining factor is monster killing efficiency—the
faster you kill mobs, the more zeny you gain. Meaning to this is that
regardless of monster level gap, as long as you can find areas with less
traffic and constant mob supply, your zeny/stamina earning may surpass what you
can earn at high level areas. That why sometimes you can still see high level
characters farming at Goblins, Eggyra, Dustiness, Mantis and
Metaller. Remember that you will still get Zeny and loots even if you
run out of Stamina! To maximize your daily income, only stop farming until your
Stamina turns red.
Tip 2 Farm for materials with good price. One good example
is Eggyra vs Munak. Even though Eggyra is a popular grinding choice because it
is easy, but the loot from Eggyra, "Evil Horn" is only worth
around 200++ zeny. If compared to loot from Munak, "Immortal Heart"
can fetch around 400++ zeny at the exchange. So, take into account the materials price before deciding on mobs that you wish to farm.
Pro tip: Once you have gathered thousands of materials (e.g. Immortal Heart) do remember to sell them at exchange in a stack of 500. You got 8 slots for selling at exchange and you can sell 8 stacks of 500 immortal hearts at on go. This method is proven to be more efficient than selling a stack of 9999 immortal hearts at on go.
Tip 3: If you want to be truly rich in Ragnarok M: Eternal Love and have time to spare, create a second/third character on the same account. Once you’ve run out of Stamina on your main, switch to other chars and consume their Stamina on farming or on Pet adventure. Use their earnings to buy items for your main. Characters must be at least Lv. 40 to use Shared Stash and pass items to each other. You can unlock the third character slot once you job change to a Transcendent class.
Tip 4: Captain obvious.
You’re probably already doing this, but always do your daily
quests everyday to maximize your EXP and zeny gains.Finishing daily
quests like Message Boards, Monster Resistance and main quests (Red) are not
only a great source of EXP, they also give out a lot of zeny and loots
(Food box and crafting materials) as rewards.
ProTip: If you don’t time to play, use Adventure
Meatballs to buy instant complete vouchers to instantly finish daily
quests! When you reached lvl 70, you can unlock Pet Labour "Cooking
Center" to farm free Adventure Meatballs using your pet. You will have
more meatballs than you ever need!
Tip 5: Hunting cards requires lots of determination and luck. The
rewards however are way more satisfying than other zeny farming methods, since
card drop rates are just a very small percentage. Aim for mobs with expensive
card (Minorous & Archer Skeletons) and remember to apply lighting chains during hunting. Double the
happiness.
Pro Tip: You can also hunt cards though pet adventures. Use your
2nd or 3rd Character for pet adventures and set which mobs to focus on.
Tip 6: Visit Lucky Shops or Greedy Shop to purchase random items
for resell at exchange. Items at lucky shops can be bought using eden coins
(can be obtained through quest completion and adventure journals) and try to
aim for items which have good price at exchange i.e. Topaz or orchish
vouchers.
Greedy Shop is more towards higher level characters. It will
appear randomly at Toy Factory 1F at expensive items such as Biotite and Key of
Clock Tower can be bought at cheap price for resell at exchange.
Tip 7: For more adventurous players, you can try your luck by
playing the market. Aim for crafting materials and contribution materials
during low season and sell them when they are in demand. For example, during x2
guild contribution period, guild contribution materials like fabric, claws,
anteller etc will spike 30-40% in price. Some items might event go as high as
100% in price. So, stock up before the event and sell during the event.
Pro tip: Go big or go home. ^.^
Tip 8: This final tip on how to make zeny is equipment enchanting. This method is more a like hitting the jackpot method and LUCK played a very big factor in it. Firstly, you need to collect lots of friendship proof. You can get it by partying up and complete daily board quest, rifts, run endless towers and do guild quests. Secondly, you need to unlock enchanting features at Geffen cat friend NPC(top right, 1 o'clock direction). Just complete all the quest that the Cat NPC offered to unlock the top tier "advance enchanting" and you are good to go. You can exchange your friendship proof for mora coins which is required for enchanting equipment. Your aim for enchanting is to get the 4th Enchantment. If you get this extra enchantment, you will strike gold and put you out of your zeny farming misery (Ha ha ha~).
Pro tip: Even if the 4th enchantment did not match with the accessories/equipment, do not be disheartened and put in up on exchange regardless. You might be "Lucky" the second time O.o ||
Leveling: Base Level for a character is everything. Higher level means more stats and better equipment which allows you to challenge endgame content for this game. So i will be sharing several tips for fast leveling.
Tip 1: Straight forward, complete your main quest! Not only that the main quest story line is engaging and interesting, it offer tons of quest rewards and more importantly free Stats and skills reset stones. Good zeny source as well. So do not be lazy and get to work.
Tip 2: Clear dailies and rifts using adventure meatballs. If you enjoy running around completed daily mission board, by all means go ahead. By 60th day i bet it will be boring as heck as some of the quest is repetitive. So save yourself the trouble and use "free" adventure meatballs that you get from Pet Labour and pet rewards to spam finish Board missions. Also, always party up and use vouchers to finish rift. With good team, you only need one voucher per team member to instant complete rift.
Tip 3: Get pet labour as soon as possible and abuse it to the max!. I mean MAX! Once you reach Level 45 visit Pet NPC at south prontera to activate Pet Labour. Once completed, you can start to open Pet Labour and assign your pet to work in different workplace. Just get your pet to work full time at "Item Shop" and visit it time to time to collect reward such as Level Exp Pot and Job Exp Pot. A lot of useful materials as well. Feels good to chug down 500 Exp Pot and power level your character to oblivion....#.#!!
Tip 4: Act cute and try to get a mentor! Getting a Mentor and becoming a Student have huge benefits to your leveling. For example, Mentor can buff their Students with the Adventure Guide item which gives 170% EXP bonus for a whopping 24 hours! Mentors can also buff their Students with the Guardian Scroll item, which gives 20 stat points bonus. (Doesn’t work on Transcendent classes). Lastly, Students get instant bonus EXP points for doing each of the following daily quests:
- Clearing 2, 6, 10 Board Quests
- Clearing 2, 5 Time Rifts
- Clearing Training Ground once
- Accepting the Adventure Guide Buff once
- Doing the Valhalla Ruins once
- Clearing 20, 40, 50, 60 Endless Tower floors
You can only be Mentored if you’re below Level 85.
Tip 5: Final tips on fast leveling will be mob farming efficiency. Rule of thumb is the faster you kill, the more exp you gain. Therefore it is important to choose a mob that you can handle (preferably one hit kill) and work your way up. To boost your attack, you can use Food buff (stack to 6), element boost (elemental stones) and party up (use group hunting).
Pro tip: I farmed nine tails up to Lvl 85++ before making a jump to Glast Heim Culvert. Always pace your mob according to your equipment capability for optimum efficiency.
Leveling Spot
Level 1–10
Do main quests in
Prontera South Gate until you job change.
Level 10–20
After your first job change, you can continue doing quests as they
give lots of EXP or grind on Rockers, Willows and Wormtails. Wormtails
have an insane EXP per HP ratio and will give you a really
great boost in your leveling.
You’ll unlock the Message Board Quests at Level
15. You’ll want to prioritize these Board quests first over the red Main
Quests!
Level 20–30
At levels 20-30, Wormtails are still your best EXP boosters. Their
EXP per HP ratio is just too good to pass even with the level gap penalties.
Continue doing main quests after consuming your Stamina.
At Level 22, you’ll unlock the Monster Resistance Quests which
is another great source of bulk EXP—they give you a 10x exp rate for
a limited amount of exp. Make sure to finish the two Monster Resistance
quests everyday.
Level 30–40
At Levels 30-40 you’ll have most of your essential
skills ready. You’ll be able to start farming lots of zeny at this range.
Steam Goblins are a great source of zeny and Coal, a common
material you can sell on the market or use for your upgrades. Jobs with AoE
skills like Wizards, Trapper Hunters and Blacksmiths are effective in killing
the Steam Goblins easily.
Level 40–50
You can still farm at Steam Goblins at Levels 40-50. Menblatt and
Hornets in Mjolnir are great alternatives—a Menblatt Card drop would be nice to
have if you’re feeling lucky. For physical attackers, Ants and Giearths in
Ant Hell are great as well.
At Level 40, consider joining a Guild and
acquire the Aesir Monument. Collect Guild Contributions and Gold Medals by
doing Guild-related activities and plan out your Rune path.
At Level 45, you may start sending Pets to Pet
Labor, where you can get free Base EXP and Job EXP potions.
These potions will help you level up real fast without doing any grinding!
Level 50–60
At Levels 50-60, grind at Dustiness, Metaller and Mantis in North
Prontera for very high EXP returns at very low HPs. You’ll be able to farm
very efficiently in this map—you can even stay here until around Level 85!
A lot of people will be farming in this area, so just look for a
decent spot—these mobs will usually spawn in groups of 3 in certain spots.

Level 70–80+
Level 70-80 range is where leveling will slow down a bit. But
don’t worry, you have lots of options.
Dustiness/Metaller still give decent EXP despite the level
gap EXP penalty. Other options would be mobs in Glast Heim Culvert and Glast
Heim Outskirts.
Since leveling is a bit slow in this ranges anyway, try to pair
your EXP farming with zeny/loots farming. Remember, instant kills = more
monster kills = faster zeny and loots. Always aim for instant or 2-hit kills
over high EXP but slow kills.
Level 80–90+
Punks and Orc Ladies in Clock Tower are the mobs that give
decent EXP per HP ratios in this range. To maximize your
farming efficiency, remember to use the proper elements,
gears and cards.
For Turn Undead High Priests, you’ll want to aim at Black Witches
and Dark Priests.
Level 90–100+
At Level 90-100, you can stay at Toy Factory 1F. Most of the mobs
here are around Level 100+.
They also drop an item called Edelweiss, which is used to purchase
valuable, rare items at the Greedy Shop. You can summon the Greedy Shop by
killing Myst Cases in the lower left corner.
Ok guys, that is rather a long part 2 of the Comprehensive Guide. Be sure to comment if you have any queries. I will try my best to assist. Stay tune for Part 3 =)
