[Android] Ragnarok Mobile: Eternal Love [Comprehensive Guide Part 5]

I had been reminding all the new players about the importance to level up their Cooking and Tasting skill because of the benefits that it offered. From food buff (stack up to 6) to permanent stat unlock and adventure handbook exp, the benefits are just too great to ignore. That being said, i will dedicated Part 5 of the comprehensive guide for Cooking mechanic.

Comprehensive Guide Part 5 of 7

Cooking and eating Gourmet foods in Ragnarok Mobile: Eternal Love will give you huge stat bonuses and buffs for a period of time. Coupled with Stat foods, your character can be buffed few times over to challenge the ROM endgame content. Therefore, it is recommended to max out your Cooking skills (Cooking and Tasting) as soon as you can.
Here’s a quick pointer on the mechanics of cooking and eating gourmet foods:
  • Eating cooked foods gives you additional stats and HP/SP discharge for a very reasonable price (better than hot/warm meals).
  • Cooking increases your character’s Cook Level. The higher your Cook Level , the better Cooking success rates you will have. This is important to cook 5 star food that required rare cooking materials.
  • Eating increases your character’s Taste Level. The higher your Taste level, the  higher food stack limit you can have at one time. (e.g. Original Will-Fish Kebab: Max HP +600, Max SP +60, PAtk +40, Def +40, Damage vs. Players +2.5%, by having maximum of 6 stack, you will have 3,600 HP and 360 SP stored discharge, PAtk +240, Def +240 & Damage vs Players + 15%)
  • Cooking a recipe increases that recipe’s Cook Mastery. When reaching level 10 mastery of the recipe, you will obtained permenant bonuses like PAtk +1, Def +2 and so on.
  • Likewise, when eating a recipe, you will increase that recipe’s Taste Mastery. When reaching level 10 mastery of tasting for a particular recipe, you will also get permanent bonuses like PAtk +1, Def +1 and so on.
  • You can buy ingredients from the Material Shop and Primary & Rare Ingredients Shop. There’s a daily limit to Rare Ingredients so always buy ALL his ingredients even if you’re not using them yet.
So to get down to work, you just need to cook lots of different recipes! A great way is to refer to a cooking recipe list and cook all dishes one by one. I have prepared a full list of recipe and ingredient that it needs.

Pro tip:

"First thing you should be doing is buying 360 Lunatic Meat, Vadon, West Gate Tomato each. Use them to cook 90 each of all novice foods and eating all 90 of them at once, this will give you Level 10 Cooking+Tasting, activating bonus stats of 100 hp + 20 SP + 10 Atk + 10 M.Atk for Lvl 10 Cooking+Tasting Mastery and greatly boost your cooking + tasting level right off the bat. As well as giving you huge chunk of hp/sp discharge.

Fish Steak is particular good for melee characters as it provides Movement speed + Atk, allowing you to move from target to target quicker. As well as it usually requiring only 1x rare mat vs Seafood soup's usually 2x rare mats for cooking. Also, at 3.5 stars and above, it's the only food that grants double Atk for cooking & tasting level 10 mastery"

Just follow the recipe list and complete the cooking and eating it one by one. Do remember to Level up your Cooking and Tasting when it is maxed out. If you run out of ingredient, you can buy it at rare ingredient NPC or hunt them using eagle eye. Upon completing the full recipe list, your Cooking Level and Tasting Level should be around level 8+. You can proceed to cook cheap recipe and try to max out the recipe cooking and tasting level. As confusing as it sound, the whole process can be better explained using the following flowchart ^.^

To reflect the importance of cooking, i made another spreadsheet detailing the permanent PAtk boost that you can get for mastering cook and taste for certain recipe.

From the spreadsheet above, you can get a total of 125.5 PAtk buff if you completed Lvl 10 Cook and Lvl 10 Taste for respective recipe. Rule of thumb is that you need to cook 90 dishes and eat all 90 of it to gain Lvl 10 mastery. Base on experience, a stack of 5 eagle eyes will net you roughly 40-50 rate ingredients. So you might one to start buying up those limited edition eagle eyes on daily basis.

Pro Tip: Most of the rare ingredients can be hunted at Bylan Island. You can assign your 2nd or 3rd alternate character to do the ingredient farming. Only do ingredient farming after you have depleted your stamina. The ingredient drops not affected by stamina.

So, to wrap things up, the mastery in cooking is definitely a must have to buff up your character. The buff is not just limited to PAtk, you can get permanent stats like MAtk, +Def, +Hp and +Sp. Though the requirement is troublesome, it is worth it. As usual, comment up if you have any queries. =D
